Buckminster ROC Post - (Lincolnshire Group) - June 2010

Noticed I hadn't posted this, so here it is. Post is situated just outside the village on the edge of Leicestershire. Had loads of items remaining, but most things have been ruined by the damp. The comms board and teletalk went walkies long ago. It was pumped out by subbrit members quite some years back, but it flooded again after. First lot of pics were taken on a visit a number of years ago.

Last year I saw a photo of water pouring through the pipe where the BT line came in, so I went down there and sealed it up as best I could. Not long after myself and Boothy went and tried to free up the sump pump, which failed. Myself and Mr Sam returned shortly after with a generator and electric pump, emptying the post of water in no time.

Returned last week and was pleased to see not a drop more water had entered the post :)
