Croatia/Plješevica/Radar Control Tower

Radar control tower Plješevica is located at an altitude of 1648 meters. It consists of a couple of radars with a range of 400 kilometers, which monitored the airspace of a greater part of Italy, Austria and Hungary.

The maintanance personel was organized in a 3-storey reinforced concrete building, which was connected with the entire base by tunnels. Everything was air conditioned and protected from nuclear attack.
