    Arrow Braime's Factory - Leeds - September 08 ARCHIVED

This lovely factory was open for Heritage Day so I visited on Saturday afternoon. It's an incredible place and certainly well known in UE circles. I have to say it's a building I have been wanting to see inside for a long time and one of my fave Leeds industrial landmarks.

The factory itself is due to be sold off for development and the firm is moving to a more purpose built building. Some info for you.

"" TF and JH Braime's 5.7-acre factory on Hunslet Road, which is being sold for redevelopment, is expected to fetch a substantial eight-figure sum.

The family run company, which has been operating in Leeds for 119 years manufacturing steel pressings for the automotive and white goods industries, has outlets in France, Germany, Argentina and the US.

The sale will fund the relocation of the business to more modern premises in Leeds and the company pledged during the summer, when the sale was first announced, that it would be "business as usual" for its 140 employees ""

I have emailed Braime and asked if there is any chance of a further tour...I will keep you informed
