    It's a good'un alright... been open for ages now, must be some right slack-arses at Thames Water...

    HOWEVER, the 'Daleks' do detract from Abbey Mills a bit. There is another survivor of the 4 original Bazalgette sewage pumping stations that still has the original Beam Engines intact, and has all the twiddly wrought ironwork too.

    Back to Abbey Mills though, I personally like the outer building with the huge flooded out expanse - very Tarkovsky indeed.

    Splended building, really really wish I lived a little closer, rather than the opposite end of Britain.

    Also quite possibly the best photos I've seen of it, they're top notch. Especially like this one:



    Do the council (or whoever looks after it) know people are going inside? They must do by now, surely, since there have been so many reports on it in the last year. I'm amazed they haven't sealed it up more since it's still technically kept in usable condition.
