My view of Hilbre school (pic heavy)

Visited with DJ Oska 02/11.

After a slow start to the explore we made our way to the classroom block. where I was suprised at how much greenery there was inside the building.... Not that there was much of an inside left.

After taking a large number of photos, and fiddling about with cameras and tripods. we moved up towards the main building. This included a crew shot on the 'open area' which would have once been a nicely mown lawn.

Returning after dark, we got to our entrance and squeezed into the cloakroom/porch area. It was at that point i realised i had injured myself on the brambles, or glass as we got in. after a quick one handed patch up the first attempts at light painting commenced and a scan round of the large expanse of the ground floor.

at this point I was getting nervouse again we had a short period on the first floor before making our escape. but not without leaving our marks on the condemned beauty...

This is taken by someone standing near the stairs you sat on in the hallway........left hand door was dining room, right hand, tv room.......

Is there anything left of the wooden building? It was originally a Victorian Dancing Hall, had Parquet (?) flooring, and we used it as a band room, we used to polish our shoes on the veranda bit....
