    Default Bacup ROC Post, Lancashire.

unsure where to post this, but Bacup ROC Post has now been fitted with an original battleship padlock on one side of the hatch.

thought i'd mention it to save anyone hoping to visit it soon any disappointment.

not sure who owns it or who has the key, but seems weird that an original padlock is now locking it.
maybe it's starting to be a resto?
    anyone know anything?

Pehaps asking the golf course owners or the owners of the mobile phone mast might give you some clues. I don't know of anyone restoring the post.

It could be the owners or resto seekers, either way you won't get in now! I think there was a post on a golf course someone wanted to restore a while ago so might be this one?

It's not bad inside either, a little damp but ok.

Aye.. not the best, but certainly far from mongy.

i thought it'd be wrecked by the local scrotes and Bacup has it's fair share plus a few extra for such a small town.
just find it weird how the original padlock has gone back on after so long.
it's been open for a good while now, just the hatch was seized and became easier to open over time.
there was no effort at all to open it when i went.
somebody has gone to the effort of locking it with the original padlock, rather than just a more modern one.

Good, at least that means it won't get burned out.

    Nice work Chewy.
