Seeing as most of the posts I will be adding to the forum where visited by me over a year or more ago I decided to head out today and re-visit the posts that I forgot to photograph the last time (long story).
So, may I present Larne ROC Post, opened 1959, closed 1991. The former Chief Observer is a good friend of mine and he tells me that below ground was in clean and tidy with paperwork and bunk-beds still in situ when they locked it up for the last time. The post sits in a field which holds sheep and as you will see it is in great condition, plenty of green paint remains and it is locked on the original padlocks and the T-Bar. I first visited this post in 2007 and little has changed, there is so many houses round it I am amazed the local kids have not tried to get in.

I love this post, I wish it wasn't 40 miles from my house.
