Arrow Heavy Anti-Aircraft Battery 644, Yeadon, Leeds 2011

I've been here before but as I was up this way with an hour to kill before dropping off my car, I've made you suffer it again.

In a soggy farmers feild sits this large abandoned HAA battery, it's still in great condition and was buit to protect the aircraft factory which was at RAF Yeadon, now Leeds and Bradford International Airport.

Four large gun positions and a sub surface HQ remain, the HQ is flooded to about three feet of smelly water.

    First gun and its magazines.

    Concrete heaven

    Semi-sunken battle HQ

    Gun footings

    Instrument mounting

    No idea

    A former gunner?

Sorry it's boring, thanks for looking

Nice one KE, think I've got some shots on film somewhere of this place. Wouldn't mind a night time revisit!
