The HP factory is one of many British companies that were moved abroad to cheaper production lines out of the UK.
The site has now been demolished (it was actually being demolished the very day I arrived to take pictures!!) and it is now just a waste land with promises made and broken several times with what to do with the site.
You could still smell the vinegar, and the police officers from the (big) police depot next door had used the site for armed training and explosive testing (random blast holes in the wall).
