The security are quite good now, info from a guy at Cofton Security says that there is one CCTV camera scanning East Works, usually pointing at the entrance to the tunnels with strict guidelines to call the police if they see anyone.

This is due to many thefts over the years for scrap.

They even caught a load of Polish guys SLEEPING in the tunnels nicking scrap!!

There are still a few uncovered places we are looking at that no-one else has been to yet, but one is on the main site and the other involves a bit of earth moving!!

Ah that could explain the coppers then although we where quite noisy getting into the site and it was right opposite some houses so dont know if that maybe what it was as we where looking around for ages trying to find a way in and the one tunnel we found was a dead end! Dont even now if it was the east works we where looking in either lol!

This is an epic report. Top stuff. I am an old dealership employee and have a bit of a love affair with Rover/MG despite their problems. Interesting stuff in this report, some little gems too.

Yep, sure is an epic explore. I remember seeing someones pictures in auto express from here. It will be a great little archive of times gone by in the future. So much for saving jobs at longbridge!
