Here are some shots taken some time ago at the former RAF Greenham Common which was home to the 501st Tactical Missile Wing. I used to have offices on the site in what used to be the 501st HQ building. Great building with massive internal blast proof doors still intact and new windows in previously "dark" rooms to stop satellites peering through windows. The building is near the GAMA complex GAMA being GLCM(Ground Launched Cruise Missile) Alert and Maintenance Area) aka the mighty BGM109 Gryphoon Nuclear Missile base.

Lots of buildings on the northside still exist from the cold war days but this is largely an industrial estate. GAMA is complete and pretty much as it was (without the Nukes obviously) and can be explored however, it is occasionally used by Thames Valley Police for training Police dogs so be careful and it is also a scheduled momument so any damage will be dealt with much more seriously. I know most Urbex fans wont cause damage but as shown in Llandaff recently, the odd ones give the rest a bad name!

Loads of different things around the site of the base inclduing the Old Control Tower, centre intersection of the runway, the Base hospital and fuelling pumps. Along with random US fire hydrants poking out of the ground in bizarre places!
