Default GPSS (Government Pipeline and Storage System) Inverness 18 may 2011

Tucked away at the back of an industrial estate ,within site of the Kessock Bridge ,this facility consists of 8 semi-buried storage tanks and 2 above ground, more recently installed.
They supply fuel to RAF Kinloss and RAF Lossiemouth about 20 miles away , along the Moray coast via underground pipeline.
Both these bases are under threat of closure, so how much longer will this exist ?

Probably won't be there much longer. Keep your eye on the place
    Nice shots

An interesting one, are all the pics taken from the parameter or do you have access to the site? (obviously if you work on site, don't give the company you work for away in public!).

I always notice the fluorescent 'hats' on poles through the country side along the roadside, this is to indicate where a Government pipeline is.

    Nice

I cycle past this place most days, always fancied jumping the fence for a proper mooch I've yet to pluck up the courage though
