Corah Building - Leicester - May 2011

Ding Ding, round 2 of my urbex adventures. This time to the Corah building in Leicester with a group of people, some I knew, some I didn't but later found out they were the professionals of urbex! lol.

Brief history....Nathaniel Corah was born in 1777, started a small textile business in his 20's, got into debt, went to debtors prison, came out, set up this textile/hosiery place.

It's HUGE and easy to loose your bearings. I don't think I even scratched ther surface of what you could find here but it's a pretty amazing place.





































And last but not least, I've broken my dead pigeon cherry (so to speak!)

That does look good! The sign on the roof is awesome!

Indeed it is an excellent explore - in fact one of my favourite places of all time.

Looks like you got access to all the good parts. There is also a giagantic underground basement underneath the now demolished dye-house.

And that attic where you photographed the old sign is full of treasures.

There are one or two bits I've got access to which are not regularly accessible, but you've not missed a great deal.
