Default Train Graveyard - North Yorks - May 2011

[CENTER]Ok so it seems tis site has been done many a time - but i suppose it doesnt harm in seeing photos from everyones different eye..Visited with TK421, got very wet feet, had problems with the trusty camera, made friends with the guard dogs and had a good clamber about...all in all a good explore

Cant find much history but these are situated on part of the Old RAF site. From what i gather they have been moved here. Many of the carriages had "lot" numbers on them so it appears they are in an auction of somekind...Anyone want a intercity carriage in their garden...will make a nice home for a gnome

Anyway - on with the pics..

As far as i know yes it did Downlow - The engine ~ complete with original nameplate, is no longer there....these carriages got moved to allow the A1 to be extended
