An early one beckoned for another foray into Lancashire, stopping by this time, at St Peterís in Stanley (pronounced Stan-LEH, if youíre from Wakefield / Wake-EH) This place had stumped us on previous occasions so was nice to finally have a look inside.

Itís a lovely Church, many things remain including some breathtaking carved timberwork. Unfortuntaley though, it has become the roost of many pigeons and is in result completely full of their debris and detritus, apart from that - itís pretty neat.

Closed in 2001 and relocated to one of those new fangled Churches a short way away that donít really cut the mustard.

Cheers.
