Visited with KooK, Cloof & Sammydoublewhammy

An early one beckoned for another foray into Lancashire, stopping by this time, at St Peter’s in Stanley (pronounced Stan-LEH, if you’re from Wakefield / Wake-EH) This place had stumped us on previous occasions so was nice to finally have a look inside.

It’s a lovely Church, many things remain including some breathtaking carved timberwork. Unfortuntaley though, it has become the roost of many pigeons and is in result completely full of their debris and detritus, apart from that - it’s pretty neat.

Closed in 2001 and relocated to one of those new fangled Churches a short way away that don’t really cut the mustard.
