I'd been meaning to have a mooch around here for years because I'd heard there were steam locomotives here; but it's a long way from home so when I happened to be nearby with work last month I took the chance...
Coles crane on 6-wheeled lorry chassis.
Aircraft radial engines.
Some big chain, probably from a shipyard...
Some even bigger chain.
Greens motor roller.
Aveling Barford dump truck.
Selection of oil engines.
Tank from pre-WW2 railway tank wagon.
Seddon Atkinson tanker.
Fire engine of some sort.
And the main attraction...
Four saddleank locomotives, all built at various times between 1902 and 1949 by Andrew Barclay Ltd. of Kilmarnock. They've been here since the 1970s when they were sold for scrap from collieries around Fife.
