Youve described such an awful place brilliantly. Im glad places like this are preserved as its a reminder of something which shouldnt be allowed to happen again (but still appears to happen in middle eastern, asian and african warzones sadly, namely executions).

Yep, as the others have said - a very chilling but interesting thread, captured well, thanks for sharing.
We went to Auschwitz-Birkenau a few years ago - still stunned by what we saw there. Lest we never forgot the horrors that man places upon man.

Thanks I am hoping to visit Auschwitz and Hoftheim Castle (I think it is I have it written down somewhere) to sort of complete the road map. It is strange how when walking rouind these places most are very solemn and shocked yet there are always 1 or 2 mindless muppets laughing and smiling around the place who obviously have no clue about the magnitude of the human suffering these places inflicted on those incarcerated there

Yeah I know what you mean - we visited it over two days as we felt that we hadn't done it justice. There were a few idiots when we were there, some people just have no sense of decency or respect to what is in effect a mass grave and the site of some of the worlds greatest atrocities....

Must never be forgotten, a well written report, must have taken some time, well done.
