    Sad to report that Clough Mills is currently on fire, I counted about 8 or 9 fire engines passing the pub I was in this evening on the way there.

    Somebody has posted this video on Twitter and has posted that roof has collapsed

    I'll try and get up there in the morning to get some shots of the aftermath

    Just been for a butchers, the fire brigade are still damping down







    Certainly looks knackered, on the upper floors, and I'd imagine there'll be plenty of water damage to the lower floors now.

    Speculation (probably unfounded) locally that it might be an insurance job, as a previous scheme to sell the mill and turn it into flats fell through.

    You've gotta blame the councils for shit like this, they allways turn down planning for conversions, then these places end up raised to the floor, different story if they get a decent back hander though...
