Default Forgotten Culverts, Seaham, Co.Durham, May 2012

Forgotten Culverts, Seaham, Co.Durham, May 2012

There isn't much to say about these to be honest, One was originally posted by xm657, then expanded on by bunk3r elsewhere. We explored the sections previously reported and also checked out a section that I've never seen before which left us wanting, and planning more. Pictures were taken over 2 visits to the area and we did 4 sections in total.

Now this was our final stop and access to this one was a little bit more tricky. I'm not sure it's ever been explored before but If you have, please, shout up.

It starts off a newish , boring, concrete section

Opening out into a short, fully grated, open air section.

We ventured up the pipe a short way to a small chamber with manhole access but the pipe was only getting smaller and we couldn't see the end when shining the torch up, so we turned back.

This was a far as we got before being thwarted by the falls

We'll hopefully be going back soon to venture further and I'm now looking forward to getting into some real drains.

    Thanks for looking

Oooh nice, 4 and 5 are my fave and the last one
The bricks are so much nicer than the concrete

Oh yes some nice brick sections and the waterfall bit is cool.

    Noice!
