I travelled to Montrose, originally to try and investigate some alleged military tunnels but I couldn't find them, so I went to see how the Sunnyside Hospital was it was quite interesting but unfortunately I couldn't get in but (not) hopefully the local chav squad will eventually help with access. this sight bares some significance to me because my grandfather was admitted here when he was diagnosed with dementia.
Sunnyside was built as a lunatic asylum for the Angus district in 1858 to replace an older hospital at the montrose links. In total there are 5 main buildings and some assorted huts (things like summer houses, greenhouses and green keepers huts.)
