Default A Rather Large Hospital, Near Portsmouth - March 13

Right then, this place had been on my radar for a few months before I finally got the chance to get in for a bimble. Visited with 2 very nice chaps that go by the names of Monk and Fire-Fly..who brought along his Mrs.

RNH Haslar doesn't seem to have popped up elsewhere much since around 2 years ago. For those of you that wish to have a read, check this link out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Hospital_Haslar It finally closed in 2009 when all remaining staff left, following their Military counterparts who had left 2 years earlier.

Security still maintain a presence and were seen having a bimble...good job we weren't seen by them during our bimble.

If it wasn't for the female company on this little trip, I'd still be in there, running around in circles in a blind panic trying to get out - yes, my sense of direction is crap.

Anyway, on with some pics. I'm not too sure what constitutes 'pic heavy' so apologies in advance.

The white thingamabobs on the roof allow some light and ventilation into the rabbit hutches that pass for offices below

Some corridors were pristine....but not totally devoid of 'footprints'...of the canine variety

This bit was showing a few signs of a bit more wear and tear

Yes...what you see here is a couple of Holby City scripts for episode 49 that was filmed here. Don't watch that rubbish myself but was sorely tempted to pick one up..

Lots of expensive kit seems to have been left behind..

    A pristine waiting room

Another stair shot, which I quite liked..

A couple of what are hopefully half decent corridor shots

And I will finish off with a piccie of two rather nice looking Top Cats....

    ...they get everywhere, including Haslar.

    Thanks for looking

Its military slang for going on a wander. Old habits die hard ;-)
