    Default Blackpool's Abandoned Hotels

Sorry - this isn't actually a thread but I didn't know how else to suggest it.
A recent visit to Blackpool showed how most of the south shore's hotels are boarded-up and derelict. One or two have been torched.
There are entire blocks of empty hotels and I wondered if any of you good people had explored any?
If you google the subject plenty comes up.
Sorry if this is old hat.
    Phipps.

I don't mean to reply to my own suggestion but on the Blackpool theme the airport has just closed down. Now that should be worth a visit in a few days eh?

Well according to yesterday's paper the liquidators will be in next week to strip and sell off all viable assets. One helicopter pilot today tried to obtain a signal from air traffic control and said it was just dead - an empty hiss. He flew over the place (the airport, not Blackpool, (although....)) and said "It was just a ghost airfield".
Maybe over the Christmas break? (I'm too old to take part now but would love to see some pix from current explorers).
Doesn't have to be you personally that considers it......unless you have more info?
