Arrow The William Wallace Monument, Stirling - Jan 2009

During my solo trip around Scotland I decided to have a looksie around here.
Nice to understand a bit of my heritage.
Super views from the top and a great insight into Sir Williams life and struggle for freedom.

Keeping the spirit of William Wallace alive.

fourth pic is a great view along towards Alva - a load of old silver mines in those hills to the left were used to fund the Jacobites - well after Wallaces time. Even HDR doesnt make Stirling any less of a cesspit though!!
Superb pics mate. worth the hike up

there is a nifty explore I can almost see in one of your pics id forgotten about - although dunno its status at present.
