i've been told this was a look out and machine gun position.its just on the side of a river near king lynn.
A local site to me.
Nothing so trivial as a machine gun post, this is King's Lynn Coastal Defence Battery. It was (briefly) equipped with two 6" guns, but may never have been operational before the guns were removed to another battery in Northumberland.
The tall building is the battery observation post, other structures are the magazines, the gunhouses, crew shelters, and in the distance on your last shot a unique close defence pillbox/bunker (a modification to a standard drawing number).
I have some old shots, once I get them updated I'll add a report.
