    Arrow Leeds forgotten walkway

    Many people do not know but Leeds once had a massive pedestrian walkway running between Infirmary Street up over Bond Street all the way over to Mill Hill Shopping Centre and Chapel. You can see the extent of the overhead walkway in this photo.

    Most of the walkway was demolished in 1977 but unknown to most and not open to the public, a section still exists. It's owned by a private company.



    This is the cool spiral route up as it was in 1977 looking towards Russel Street.



    This is the view today in 2009



    This part of the walkway complete with all the old street tiles on the pillars still exists.
