Arrow Cold War Warriors 'Rust in Peace'

I had the 'free run' of this place On the understanding that I do not divulge its location

Stock changes on a fairly regular basis but some tanks and other vehicles, have taken up permanent residence, and now 'Rust in Peace'
In the undergrowth lay engines and munitions (inert) slowly being covered by brambles and weeds.

Its a fantastic place to explore and some real true gems of military vehicles are here if only I had the money to buy some

    On with the pics.

Chieftain MBT of the former Berlin Brigade, in the rare urban camouflage, unique to Berlin.

This MBT has not moved in years, weeds now give it a new camo scheme

Amphibious Stalwarts slowly rust in a corner of a field.

Inert shells stacked on a pallet The blue ones are practice shells, along with a few Sabot tank rounds.

Soviet BAT-M Combat Bulldozer. This is one 'big mother' of an earth mover

Rare prototype, MBT Challenger I, former range target apparently

This tank was used for trying out different types of armour on! Still a secret

Let me know if you want some more, photos as I took lots of this place

    Happy to oblige

Interior of one of the Stalwarts.

This I believe is what remains of a Panhard/Eland But then again I could be wrong?

    Rear of the Panhard?

MK. I Ferret Scout cars, bask in the noon day sun

Engine bay of the Challenger I.

    Challenger I, Powerpack.

The Chieftain's hatch's were rusted solid so I could not get inside
The Challenger is fairly stripped out but the engine is complete. The guy who owns it is rebuiding it!

Here's a few more since you all like them

BAT-M. Apparently was brought over by contractors who were widening the
A1 at the time! There were originally 2 but one was sold to a farmer in Norfolk somewhere?

Old Soviet/Bosnian Army, Govozdika, 122mm Self propelled howitzer minus tracks.

There's stuff laying everywhere in the scrub, I could walk around here for hours, (and indeed did) and not get bored

So any idea what the owner is doing with these then?
Are they being slowly broken up as spares just left to rot or tagged for restoration?

Always loved Stalwarts - so much easier to use than canoes.

Interesting find - all the better if you can go back from time to time and test drive the new stock.
