    Arrow The Cow Beck tunnel, Leeds, April '09

    The Cow Beck, a tributary of the River Aire used to be the ancient boundary marker between Horsforth and Leeds. Today it still flows through the woodland and crosses under the road, unknown to many of the motorists above.
    This is the north eastern portal. It has a cool pipe above it too.


    Did I say tunnel? More of a bridge really.


    A more dramatic view of the south western portal.


    It's a shame that once important watercourses are lost and forgotten.
