Arrow Another Alden Brook Culvert, Helmshore, Lancs - June 2009

    Another day and another culvert

This one takes the Alden Brook in the Sunnybank area of Helmshore 293Metres underground.

Stone arch design to start of with, then a part with a concrete roof and a concrete wall with corrugated iron section.

    i enjoyed this one

Another good one mate. I am enjoying this season of your culvert reports. The torch in the pipe shot is very nice. In fact the lighting on these is really good

    Thanks Rich

    i'm getting better each time
i took a mixture of lights this time.
the halogen was too orange, but the LED was to white/blue looking.
bit of both in a pic seems to work good

    Thanks Both

i just follow OS maps along rivers TC until they disappear for a while and show again further on.
two or three i've known about with living close, but spent hours looking at rivers with a map to find some others.
got quite a list now, but they're getting further away to travel to

this is a handy tool to use to find them...

i'm starting to name these culverts seeing as i'm the first to report on them

this one will be called "Scalped Revel Upturn" (anagram of "Aldens Upper Culvert")

yeh, I've been SCOURING over that 'where is the path' for ages, (it's an amazingly good tool) , but there's NOTHING in the hull area, I'm going to have to look further afield...

VERY nicely lit matey, love the torch in the side inlet pipe..

    respect is due!
