Talking ROC Maroon Launcher and FSM simulator

Well here is 2 rare items of kit for the post I recieved today

The first, a Maroon Launcher, some info on them off the UKWMO site (http://www.ringbell.co.uk/ukwmo/index.htm)

If a Fallout Warning is issued from Group HQ either directly via the TeleTalk or relayed via the Carrier Control Point and Carrier Receiver. Failing notification of an imminent risk of fallout the Post would sound the Fallout Warning should the local external radiation reach a predetermined level. The fallout warning would be given by a pyrotechnic maroon.

In this picture there is Police officer preparing to give a fallout warning, the maroon is held in place with sandbags and operated remotely with a battery. Once triggered it sends up three maroons spaced a few seconds apart.

    Some info on the Simulator:

This unit connected to the PDRM-82F in the place of the probe unit.

It was used to simulate radiation readings during an exercise.

Powered by 4 "C" Cell batteries.

On its own the unit will do nothing, to make it work you need the EPROM module (luckily ours was found to be inside) and the PDRM-82F.

    Now some pictures:

The one for Middleton Stoney ROC

    It's a Mark.1

Controls ( This launcher is the same as the one the copper is using by the looks of it)

    Next the FSM simulator

Sticker on back and plug were you connect the PDRM

If anyone wants some more pictures of these then please PM me.
Both these items will of course be on display at Middleton Stoney ROC post on open days

Good stuff though, and a rare find
