Not a report of such, more a place of interest, infact nothing really interesting about it other than it used to hold a collection of archaeological artifacts (not on display) that were uncovered in the Braystones area.
Built in 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, but of no actual purpose.
At one point in its life it was fully accessible with stairs and a roof, but these are long gone and the folly tower now stands as a reminder of how much appreciation and loyalty we once had for our monarchy.......
It does paint a rather nice silhouette
