    Arrow Priddy's Hard, Gosport, 18/05/09

    Hey,

For my first report, Priddys Hard armaments depot in Gosport. Originally was a fort, then used by the Army & Navy to store Ordnance. Closed in 1988, Part of the site is now the Explosion! museum. The depot had an 18" tramway around parts of it with special rails to prevent sparks. Clever!

Quality isnt too great due to some builders over the road, and being in a rush.

Here is a selection of photos:

    Siren!

I dont think this is a bike shed, and its too short for a smoking shelter

    Some sort of extraction/chimney?

Not quite sure what this was for, but that metal hurts when you walk into a pole!

    A view over the top

Here you can see the bridge, and the 'road' round the lower level.

    Round the bend!

More buildings, empty, and a walkway

    Now a building site..

A few more images at Priddys Hard Gallery

    Thanks for looking!

Looks quite interesting. The metal poles may have supported benches?
