Bit of cheeky one this. Living nearby, I had been keeping a close eye on it and watching the various comings and goings, as well as acquainting myself with the grounds and position of the CCTV cams, etc. Explored a few weeks after the last of the staff had moved to the new premises at Pacific Quay. Security were still in reception, and there were a few contract workers removing equipment.
BBC Scotland moved to its Queen Margaret Drive premises in 1935. The premises were originally built in 1869 as North Park House and it was later to become Queen Margaret College for women. A medical department, co designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, was added in 1895, and many new additions were made to the building after the BBC had purchased the property.
Sorry it's so picture heavy, but it still barely scratches the surface.
