Me and (W.I.M.R.) took a drive up to Leeds this weekend and had a grear little explore.

Gledhow grove, mansion was built between 1835-40 by John Clark for the Leeds industrialist John Hives partner in the still-serving flax manufacturer.
The two-story mansion became part of the chapel allerton Hospital which
used to provide medical facilities in the first world war. The hospitals control was handed over to the ministry of health in 1953.
The hospital after standing empty for some time was demolished, and new housing built on the site only the mansion a listed building now servives.

On with the pics.

Thank you.
