Arrow Elgin Infectious Diseases Hospital - 22/02/2010

Nugget44444... I'm sorry. You are going to hate me and I expect you to fire-bomb my flat. :P

Name: Elgin Joint County Infectious Diseases Hospital
    Town, district or village: Elgin
    City or county: Morayshire
Notes: Closed down; replaced in 1935 by Spynie Hospital
    Address: Hamilton Drive
    Moriston Park Original Address
    Main Entrance?: Yes

    From: 1990
To: 1935 Replaced by Spynie Hospital
Spynie Hospital was a UK National Health Service hospital in Elgin, Scotland. It was administered by NHS Grampian.
It was built in 1900 as Elgin Joint Infectious Diseases Hospital[1] and the Joint County Hospital.
Spur of the moment UrbEx trip to Elgin Infectious Diseases Hospital, used it as a back drop at a shoot today and decided I wanted to explore it a little. Went twice, went up in the afternoon and at night time. Only 2 people knew about me going up here in the dead of the night, in case I needed bailed out or if I ended up with pretty Silver Bracelets then I'd need someone to capture my moments of being yanked out of the ladies toilets. :P The other one would kill me if I didn't tell him where I was going, which is quite understandable (lover).
    Some day time shots, I visited during the day with Angus61;

After discussing this with a UrbEx member on the phone and texting I decided a night time visit was in order. I packed my kit and walked the 2-3 miles to the site (after going to Tesco for a wind up LED Torch which works wonders, sandwich to eat on the way, Irn Bru and other random crap), put on my fingerless gloves then latex gloves on top and set about finding a way into the site.

    I wish I had ladders.

    One of my fave rooms.

    Omg... The Colours!

I'm going to get fucked up by Nugget at Lossiemouth this weekend... I expect to be bound to the inside of a pillbox at the coastal battery and left there.
Off to the land of nod for me for a blissful 4 hours before I have to go to Aberdeen for one definite site, maybe a second.
All of my injuries were worth it.
