Newmill, Mill of Newmill, Keith, Morayshire. A flying visit when up in the area and a chance to christen my new camera I would have posted this sooner but swamped with a lot of work and Googling this thing was a pain as I never knew the name.
TheSurveyor and I went down a tiny track to meet the owners not knowing this place was owned, they are selling thr grounds for £90,000 and thought we were strange for wanting to take pictures as they though it was 'falling apart and decrepit'. just the way we like things
The woman never told us about the machinery and we expected to find a shell of a building...This historic building hasoccupied the site since the early 19th century although an earlier mill is understood to have occupied the site for several centuries. The current building comprises a two storey meal mill with kiln. The original paddle wheel and other original machinery are still present.

According to the current owner (I sadly can't find supporting evidence and I am still looking for images of the mill in its original state) the mill has a lot of history and Monks used this Mill in the 14th Century
