Visited with 'Bunkerkid' Situated on atop a hill with commanding views over the surrounding village and area, the post was built in June 1962 and had a short life as it was a 68 closure

Since then the post has been abandoned and the hatch has been welded shut, so access not possible. The air vents have been removed but other than that the post stands like a 'silent sentinel' atop the hill.

this post was ideally located for its intended purpose


The hatch is welded shut, but that has not stopped some people from trying to gain entry
