Market Deeping ROC Post - (Northamptonshire Group) - April 2011

Hi all,

Had some time to kill over the weekend so i thought i'd set about visiting some local ROC posts My first visit was to Castle Bytham which was very disapointing due to it being burnt out second up was Grantham - Again, burnt out which is a shame as i was told that not long ago it was something of a minter

Anyhow, moving on i set out for Market Deeping/Maxey as i'd done me homework on this one and knew that it was a worthy visit i know that King Elvis visited and was without a Torlift/hatch getter opener tool!
I too had realised that i too never has an implement.........But with a bit of jiggery pokery and some wisdom....Up she popped This post is an absolute pleasure and one that's pretty much been left alone. And to think i have lived up the road from this all my life I even found myself having a little tidy up down there HAHAHA! Oh, and as luck would have it, a friend of mine was passing and securely locked it up again with a proper Torlift key....RESULT! On with the pics then. ( 5 Megapixel again i'm afraid...Camera battery ran out )

Its one of the best posts around, whats all that crap on top of the hatch though? Grantham post has been burnt out for ages now.

The crap on the top hatch is a load of concrete. I couldn't lock it back up myself so put it all on top to close it with the intention of going back with a better implement. But as luck would have it, my mate stopped by with a Torlift key;-) Why oh why do chavvy knobs burn these out???

Bit fancy having carpet down there Looks a good little post, possibly worth restoring but has that left as it was charm about it.
