Default Watkin Jones Site #1, Huddersfield - April 2013

    Visited with Tweek.

I don't think le boreums have been graced with the pleasures of Huddersfield very much, so I'll change that over the coming weeks.

In the past, Site #1 has been home to a large chemical works, and more recently a car park.

In 2008, plans were submitted to build apartments on the site; which were quickly knocked back by Kirklees Council.

Fast forward five years and Watkin Jones have come back with a new plan, which has subsequently been accepted by the local authority.

The buildings will create accommodation for 484 students in the area, to go with the existing 24,000 strong student population.

Thanks for looking, plenty more to come.

I won't lie, i'm pretty much the same, just like to try get round to doing everything in the local area cos it actually means something to me. Wouldn't drive to Belgium to hit a crane.

Theres loads of stuff been constructed for the uni round there at the min. Both uni owned buildings (paid for by extortionate tuition fees, and the buildings to house them all)
